BMW's all-electric i3 city car gets captured on video

in City Car, Sport
Been wondering when BMW's all-electric i3 city car would turn up on video ever since its bigger, sportier counterpart did its thing last week? Well, here's your answer. The folks from GMotors recently managed to catch the pint-sized car doing a bit of drifting at the same cold weather test location in Sweden that the i8 was spotted at, and it certainly looks like the 150 horsepower vehicle could be a fun little car to drive. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like you'll be able to take one for a spin yourself anytime soon, as it's not expected to go on sale until 2013 (at a cost of around $40,000). Head on past the break for the video.

Apple iPad 2 Case with Bluetooth Keyboard

The Apple iPad 2 was just recently released, so now there is a wave of new iPad2 accessories. One cool item is the Apple iPad 2 Case with Bluetooth Keyboard. Normally the case of an iPad, iPod, or other portable gadget is simply a way to protect the item. While this slim line leather iPad2 case is protective, it also includes a built-in Bluetooth keyboard for much more effectively data entry into an iPad2.

While the case is designed to fit an iPad 2, the Bluetooth keyboard can be used with just about any device that supports Bluetooth including iPhone, laptops, smartphones, etc. With a built-in 450mAh lithium-ion battery, the keyboard should last for about a week without needing to be recharged. To fully recharge, just plug in a mico-USB plug for 4 to 5 hours. (A micro USB charging cable is included.) The Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity gives this keyboard a wireless range of about 10 meters.

Anyone that uses an iPad or other tablet computer a lot knows how cumbersome it can be to type on the virtual keyboard. With a regular keyboard, typing is much more efficient, for more effective entry of emails, blog entries, text messages, Facebook comments, etc. Having the Bluetooth keyboard built right into this iPad 2 case just makes everything so much easier.

Jai Alai Snow-Scoop Fling Balls 150-Feet

If you thought Jai Alai was a fictional sport invented solely for Mad Men and the opening credits of Miami Vice, you’d be wrong. It is in fact a dangerous ball game where a wad of wire and goatskin is hurled at up to 150mph with a Xistera, a shallow basket shaped like a pelican’s beak. The game is based on the Basque Pelota, and this explains its unique weirdness. Everything in the Basque Country, including the language – Euskara – seems to have evolved in isolation from the rest of the world.
